Whatever your age, who doesn’t love a ride on a cable car into the mountains? Picture the scenario as you take a seat gazing out of the large cable car window, overlooking the scenery below as you feel instant joy spotting wildlife. Not forgetting the adrenaline surges through your stomach from the sudden edgy cable car motions! Our cable car won’t be able to take you to the highest mountains, but you will enjoy the nostalgic experiences that it brings, simply wind it up and watch it travel around on the 5m string cable.
The Kovap fully functioning cable car comes complete with a winding key and 5m cable string, which can be hung from ceilings and walls, making it a quirky and fun feature in any room. A timeless design, the Kovap cable car is made of traditional sheet tinplate metal with a metal wind-up mechanism.
Wind it up and watch it travel across the cable string between two fixed points or hang it with the help of the enclosed rubber rings. With this length of cable string, the elevation can be a maximum of 0.5m.
A fun toy for little ones, as well as, the not so little anymore ones! Make a feature with the Kovap cable car as part of a stylish interior design or seasonal display. Decorate alongside a Christmas tree just like the cable cars that pass over the pines lining the mountains.
Made in the Czech Republic by Kovap, a traditional toy maker since 1946.

- There is a hole in the floor, where a key and a brake are kept. If you want to wind up the clockwork mechanism, you have to keep the brake in the “0” position. The cable car will move in the direction from the brake to the keyhole. Then you put the cable car on the tensioned string with the grooves of the drive gear and release the brake to the “I” position, which will set the cable car in motion.
Warning:
- To avoid damaging the cable car, never wind up the mechanism to the left and do not over-tighten it up.
- Caution of small parts, not suitable for children under the age of 3.
By following these tips and referring to the instructions, you’ll be able to savour many experiences with your Kovap Cable Car.
